Sónar Festival wird zweigeteilt!

Nun ist es seit ein paar Tagen amtlich: "Sónar 2010 will take place simultaneously in Barcelona and A Coruña.
For the first time in its history, Sónar, the International Festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia Art, will be split between two venues. As part of the Xacobeo Jubilee Year, Sónar travels along the Way of Saint James, and will take place simultaneously in A Coruña and Barcelona. As a result, there will be a double helping of Sónar, the annual Barcelona festival and this one-off event, which will be called Sónar Galicia.
Like the Sónar Festival in Barcelona, Sónar Galicia will have a Sónar by Day with a music line-up, and a multimedia and audiovisual area with a special emphasis on Galician artists. The Sónar by Night stages will feature the latest leading lights in electronica."
Der 17te, 18te und 19te Juni 2010 verspricht also verheissungsvoll zu werden.

Soundlabs Festival

Das Onlinefanzine roteraupe fragt: "Was kann es schöneres geben als ein Festival direkt an der adriatischen Küste" und vor allem, wenn es "dazu noch so großartige Bands wie Mogwai, Blonde Redhead, Girls in Hawaii, Micah P. Hinson, Lightspeed Champion, Offlaga Disco Pax, Port-Royal und Le Luce della Centrale Electtrico con Giorgio Canale" zu erleben gibt? Nicht viel würde ich meinen und komme der Aufforderung nach, den jährlichen Sommerurlaub nach dem schon fest eingeplanten Barcelona (Sonar Festival) nun auch nach Roseto degli Abruzzi (Soundlabs Festival) zu verlagern.
Das Soundlabs ist übrigens, anders als das Sonar, in diesem Jahr noch nicht vorbei und findet vom 25.07 bis 26.07. statt. Tickets sind über TicketOne (ab ca. 26,00 EUR) zu erwerben.
